President Bola Tinubu has been urged by the Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, to change some of his initial policies in order to prevent Nigeria from imploding.
If the draconian policies being adopted by the Tinubu administration are not reversed, Gumi said in a special address to the President on Saturday, they may destroy not only the government, but Nigeria as well.
Gumi advised Tinubu not to rely on those he referred to as sycophants but to contact experts before enacting certain policies in the message featured in a video clip released on his official Facebook page.
“President Tinubu, you have to revise your policies; if not they are going to destroy the nation and they are also going to destroy your government,” Gumi said in the 22-minute video.
“Your political and economic policies, you have to review them. You have to ask people who know better and don’t depend on these sycophants,” the Islamic scholar said.
