You either fight Wike until you prevail or submit to his control, Shehu Sani advises Fubara
Rivers Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has received blunt counsel from political activist, Shehu Sani.
Fubara has been locked in a battle of survival with his political godfather, Nyesom Wike over control of Rivers State.
According to reports, Sim, as the governor is also called, wanted to break loose from the grip of Wike, who also was running Rivers State from the background in addition to being the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). But Wike, smelling betrayal from his godson, decided to ruffle him with a threat of impeachment. The crisis that later ensued, led to protests by young people in what a widow said led to the death of her only son.
Fubara, who talked tough in the initial phase of the crisis, later adopted a somber tone after the presidency and governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) intervened.
But Sani, who appears unimpressed by the governor’s middle ground approach, warned. “To Mr Sim; When you befriend a Tiger, you must either feed and appease the Tiger or you must fight and prevail over the Tiger; there is no timid or evasive middle ground like praying or hobnobbing with the Tiger for the peace of the Habitat.-
