The presidency has advised former Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State to engage the services of brilliant lawyers instead of ducking arrest.
A statement by Special Adviser to the president on Communication and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, advised Yahaya Bello to submit himself to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) as there is no place to go.
Onanuga made the comment in a post on his X handle following the publication by the EFCC declaring Yahaya Bello as a wanted person.
The post by Onanuga reads: “Yahaya Bello, where will you run to? It’s better you submit yourself to the EFCC and get a good lawyer.”
The EFCC on Tuesday declared Yahaya Bello wanted over alleged N80 billion fraud.
The commission urged anyone with information “as to his whereabout to report immediately to the Commission or the nearest Police Station.”
This comes 24 hours after Bello evaded arrest from EFCC operatives to face criminal charges in court.
