Ayobami Sodiq who goes by the nickname Spending, has called out Cynthia Wunmi, the widow of IIrerioluwa Aloba, aka Mohbad over her recent interviews, alleging that she was trying to implicate innocent people on the singer’s death.
According to Spending, Wunmi ‘s comments are full of ‘inconsistent and false’ narratives.
In a series of posts on his Instagram story on Saturday night, March 1, 2025, Spending claimed that Wunmi and Mohbad were in a toxic relationship.
“I know how badly you used to treat Mohbad, and you are out there claiming to have a loving relationship while in reality it was toxic, not what you are going around painting it to be,” he wrote.
According to him, Wunmi once threatened to end Mohbad’s music career during a heated argument.
“Your arguments was to the extent of you threatening to end Mohbad’s career like Lil Frosh career was ended by his girlfriend,”
Spending further accused Wunmi of throwing a white item on Mohbad’s coffin during his burial.
“I have always wanted to ask this question. I note that you threw a white etc, on Mohbad’s coffin. What was your purpose of doing so? You claimed to be protecting him. Why didn’t you protect him when he was alive and needed help? You were looking at him suffering in pain and cursing him,” he added.
He also dismissed Wunmi’s claim that she gave the singer first aid treatment, adding that it was him and one Bami that treated the deceased with ointments purchased from a chemist store.
“The last time I saw Mohbad at about 11 am Monday morning, before I left the house, he was alive. The next thing, I was told of his demise the next day. I saw his dead body outside the hospital at Osapa London. I was devastated, in shock and it was unbelievable seeing him lying there,” he lamented.
“Wunmi, I honestly don’t know what you are trying to hide and why you are trying so hard to throw innocent ones under the bus with all your inconsistent narratives.”
Spending went on to claim that Wunmi has attended a few parties recently, saying that she has moved on.
“Why are you pretending you have not moved on? Not that you shouldn’t live your live but be honest,” he added.
