Randy Waldrum, the coach of the Super Falcons, has announced a squad of 23 players who will represent Nigeria in the upcoming Women’s World Cup, scheduled to take place in Australia and New Zealand starting from July 20.
The selected team includes prominent players such as Asisat Oshoala, who plays as a forward for Barcelona, Rashidat Ajibade from Atlético Madrid, and Onome Ebi, who is set to make a record appearance at the tournament.
Nigeria has been placed in Group B alongside co-hosts Australia, Canada, and the Republic of Ireland. Their first match will be against Canada on July 21, marking the beginning of their campaign in the tournament.
