A former member of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Chidi Lloyd, has rejected Governor Siminalaye Fubara as the political leader in the state.
Recall that former Rivers State Governor, Peter Odili, declared the incumbent, Governor Siminalayi Fubara, as the political leader of the oil-rich state.
Lloyd, a loyalist of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, said Fubara is not the political leader of the state as recently pronounced by former Rivers State Governor, Peter Odili.
Lloyd, who featured as a guest of Seun Okinbaloye’s podcast, On the Mic, said the FCT Minister is the political leader in Rivers State.
Okinbaloye had asked him: “Who is the leader of the PDP in Rivers today?”
Lloyd responded: “My leader is the FCT Minister, Barrister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike”
Okinbaloye enquire further: “Is he the leader of the governor too? Is that how it works?”
Lloyd replied: “Yes. He is the leader of the governor. In Rivers, Wike has the followership like former President Muhammadu Buhari in Nigeria.”
The full podcast will be aired later this evening.
