On Sunday, Reno Omokri, a former spokesperson for the president, declared Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX, to be the world’s largest employer of workers.
In a tweet on Sunday, Mr. Omokri made the assertion that users were employees of the X Chief Executive because of the payment they were receiving for impressions.
Thread, a newly formed platform that was expected to challenge the dominant social media brand, was said to have died as a result of the X CEO’s decision to begin compensating X verified users.
“Many people have not realised that by virtue of the payments he makes to X users, Elon Musk is now employing millions of people on this platform.
“You are no longer just users. You are employees. In fact, Mr Musk is now arguably the highest employer of labour on planet Earth. His business model has killed Mark Zuckerberg’s Thread.
“Be honest, when was the last time you were on Threads? I can now see why he is the world’s richest man. The man, Elon, understands how to motivate people.
“Because, much as you may hate to admit it, money is the greatest motivator on Earth. Am I lying?,” Mr Omokri wrote.
His remarks come as X continues to pay users who have been verified according to the number of impressions they may generate each month.
