It has been weeks in the Big Brother and as the days goes by, tension still arises, and as tension arises, toxicity begins to flow round the house. This has caused several clashing between the housemates, quarrels and even the questioning of trust in friendships and also the end of some.
But before I dive into that, I forgot to mention that Big Brother brought some new guests into the house, who happen to be some of our faves from previous seasons and they are Omashola (or Sholzy now!), Kim Oprah, Lucy and Prince Nelson. They are now currently in the house as guests, unknown to the housemates, to participate in the game and as well cause more drama as if we couldn’t even get enough.
Now what exactly do you think I’m talking about? Well from observations, it’s clear to see the bromance between Cross and Pere started having some turbulences, causing Cross to somehow lose trust in Pere due to prior situations and plotting to get Ilebaye to bounce! Cross did confront Pere about his feelings towards everything happening in the house and we then see Pere whom we know as the tough general of the house feeling distraught which eventually brought him to tears in his diary session with Biggie, explaining how very close he is to Cross like a brother and hearing this from him was quite distasteful and gut wrenching… in my words though.
I’d like to bring forth yet another dispute that took place in the house between Doyin and well, almost every member of the house. This took place during Ilebaye’s case with Ike where she threw insults at almost everyone in the house in defending Ilebaye. As ugly as the scene was, especially between her and Venita whom they threw massive curses and insults at each other, Ilebaye seemed to be disturbed about being the cause of the quarrel and decides to make peace with the housemates Doyin were having disputes with.
This action of hers didn’t sit well with Doyin at all and eventually ended in yet another argument between Doyin and Ilebaye and eventually what seems to be the end of their friendship.
In my opinion, did Ilebaye’s actions to reconcile with the rest of the house and play around and hang out with them seem to be a good idea or just yet another crazy tactical strategy of hers to get everyone including the viewers on her side and paint Doyin’s image black? This is Big Brother after all, and every housemate has their strategies and ulterior motives so let’s not look down on our Gen Z baddie.
Even our new guest housemates Lucy and Kim Oprah had a minor quarrel which made Lucy request to Big Brother that she would like to take a voluntary exit and go home. I think it’s safe to say if we were in Big Brother’s shoes, this is where we would yell “That’s enough!” Did Lucy really need to complain though? It was barely 24 hours since she arrived. What of the rest of the housemates who’ve been in since day 1?
The next day, Big Brother eventually got the housemates a therapist! That’s right. Okay let’s say a spiritual advisor. Actually, no he got them a therapist. And she came in and did some exercises for the housemates to release the toxic tension and bond with themselves once again, bringing peace back into Big Brother House.
