Brazilian forward, Vinicius Junior, has agreed to a new long-term contract with Real Madrid, keeping him at the La Liga giants until 2027. The 23-year-old’s previous deal was due to expire in 2024, but he has now committed his future to the club for a further three years.
Vinicius joined Real from Flamengo as an 18-year-old in 2018 and has since made over 200 appearances, scoring 63 goals. He has been a key player under manager, Carlo Ancelotti, helping the club win LaLiga in 2022, as well as the UEFA Champions League, scoring the winner in the 1-0 final victory over Liverpool.
The new contract is reported to include a €1 billion release clause, underlining Real’s determination to keep hold of one of their most talented young players. Vinicius expressed his delight at the deal, saying: “It is a dream for me to continue here for many years, scoring many goals and winning many titles.”
