A fresh protest has erupted in Kaduna in reaction to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s nationwide broadcast aimed at pacifying #EndBadGovernance protesters from continuing with their street action.
In the early hours of Monday, hundreds of marchers assembled at different locations in the state and started heading towards the Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, the seat of power. The marchers passed through the 44 Military Hospital on their way to the Government House and hailed military officers trying to talk them out of the protest, saying they preferred military rule than democracy. The soldiers quickly left the scene, perhaps in reaction to the sensitivity of the protesters comments.

Tinubu please heed to some demand and save the democracy some of us fought for in the 90s.

Among the marchers were people flying the Russian flag, a trend that has been noticed in some of the protests in the North. The Russian embassy has denied involvement in the protest or encouraged any of the protesters to fly their flag.
Sources say the protesters attacked a UBA branch along the UTC junction. It was also gathered that some of the protesters at the Rigasa area of the state stormed the police station in the area and gave the DPO a beating
