Popular Nigerian socialite, Sam Larry, has denied claims that he had a hand in the death of popular Nigerian singer, Mohbad
He made this clarification as Nigerians continued to call for his arrest over the death of the musician.
PoliticsNow recalls that Netizens who have continued to express their displeasure with the Nigerian police called for the arrest of Naira Marley and Sam Larry after the resurfacing of a video where the socialite was seen assaulting the now-deceased music star with a cutlass.
In the wake of the assault, Mohbad had petitioned the Nigerian police to restrain his former label boss and Sam Larry from assaulting him.
In the now viral petition, Mohbad alleged that Sam Larry and his former boss destroyed items worth N5 million during the assault at his music video shoot.
Outraged by the resurfacing of the petition, Nigerians expressed their displeasure with the police for failing to provide protection for the musician when he needed it the most and called for the immediate arrest of Naira Marley and Sam Larry.
However, responding to allegations of involvement with Mohbad’s death, Sam Larry in a now-viral video described Mohbad as his brother suggesting that he loves him.
“In all these things that are happening Mohbad is my brother and I really like him, he knows I love him, even his wife, everybody knows that I have love for Mohbad,” he said.
