A video has been making the rounds on social media showing pro Biafra activists declaring an Independent country for themselves.
The declaration ceremony was said to have been held in Finland on November 29, and was coordinated by the self-styled Chief of Staff to the Biafra Republic Government in-Exile (BRGIE), Dr Ngozi Orabueze.
In the ceremony held in a hall filled with enthusiastic pro-Biafra activists, the self-styled Chief of Staff also announced the creation of 40 states that make up the United States of Biafra.
The states include Ikemba, Omambala, Odumegwu, Adah, Alanso and others.
The declaration has elicited mixed reactions on X. While opponents consider it as delusional, proponents said they were excited even when there is zero recognition for the declaration.
