Popular Nigerian actress, Yvonne Jegede has opened up on why she broke up with fellow actor and ex-husband, Olakunle Fawole better known as ‘Abounce’.
According to her, she left the marriage because she was contributing more financially than her ex-husband.
The thespian made this known in the teaser of the upcoming episode of ‘The Honest Bunch’ podcast, where she also said part of the reasons for their divorce was that her ex-husband who wasn’t complaining initially started taking every joke as disrespect because he is older.
She went on to say she regretted choosing love over money when she decided to walk down the aisle with him.
Speaking during the interview, Jegede said: “He [my ex-husband] is eight years older than me. But the moment we got married, if I tell am say, ‘You dey craze, he would say I’m disrespecting him. I would if it was the same person I got married to.
“But that wasn’t the main reason I left the marriage. Let me just say the fact, I was bringing more money. I’m taking care of my son like nobody exists around me. It’s not easy. I would have gone for money instead of love.”
Nollywood actor, Abounce and actress, Yvonne Jegede confirmed the crash of their marriage in 2019, barely a year after they tied the knot.
