“Is it only Jibrin that knows how to do the job? Now, all of us will be removed from this post,” a man speaking in a depressed tone at the background of a video where IBD Dende was charging at an ‘overzealous’ custom officer who intercepted his alleged smuggled consignment.

The video was shared by publisher of FIJ, Fisayo Soyombo, who has been doubling down on his allegation that the Customs leadership was responsible in smuggling of banned items into Nigeria by allegedly using IBD Dende as a front.

In the video, at least six AK47-bearing Customs officers were seen begging IBD Dende who seemed determined to assault the ‘overzealous’ customs officer for intercepting his alleged smuggled consignment. The Customs officer being harrassed muttered: “What did i do? He said he would kill me.”

At the background of the video, one of the Customs officers was lamenting at what would become their fate following the interception of IBD Dende’s alleged smuggled consignment.

According to Soyombo, the officer IBD Dende wanted to allegedly harm had he not been restrained, was an Assistant Superintendent of Customs.

Soyombo made the following comment to accompany the video. “1.Despite wielding guns, all the Customs officers in the footage can be seen pacifying Dende. Why? Same trigger-happy Customs?

“2.Dende can also be seen bragging: ‘Ejigbunu is the one I called.’ ‘Ejigbunu bring it [the smuggled goods] in.”
