The lad also asked the EFCC boss if he could move some money out of the account as part of the demonstration. Olukoyede said he halted the demonstration at that point.
The EFCC boss said he asked the young man why he was involved in internet fraud. The young crook replied that it was because his parents, who were farmers, could no longer go to their farms because of insecurity. He also added that he has two younger siblings whom he supported through school.
The EFCC chairman said he volunteered to sponsor the Yahoo Boy through school. He also said one of his friends also offered to pay the school fees of one of the siblings. According to the EFCC chairman, he is looking for someone to bankroll the education of the other sibling.
