A Chinese national who gave his name as Ross has demanded the release of activist, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan or VDM.
In a viral video, the Chinese man said the arrest of VDM upset him because, according to him, VeryDarkMan couldn’t have done anything illegal.
Hear him: “I heard that my brother VeryDarkMan has been arrested by EFCC. Like all brothers, Ross is very very angry because he is a good person. And it’s not just empty talk.
“Let me tell you how I got to know VeryDarkMan. There was a Tanzanian named Peter who took Ross’ second-hand shoes. They are worth one million in cash, and he tried to cheat me. Nigeria’s brothers told me to seek VDM’s help.
“I just messaged my problem to VDM, and the next day he made a video to expose it. Later, Ross got a little money back.
“He (VDM) was willing to help a stranger, a Chinese, without any reward. So, Ross says he (VDM) is a good person and it’s impossible to have done anything illegal.”
