A 2010 graduate of Ajayi Crowther University in Oyo State, has burnt all his certificates, including his primary, university and National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) credentials.
Based on the name on the certificates, the man is Olutimain Alvin who attended Command Primary School, Ajayi Crowther University and did his NYSC between 2010 and 2011.
In a viral video, the man set the documents on fire on the ground that for 13 years, he has always dragged with illiterates for jobs. He said one can even become Nigeria’s President by forging certificates.
All pleas by the person filming the angry man not to burn his certificates fell on deaf ears. He proceeded to set the certificates on fire and advised everyone else to learn a trade as certificates in Nigeria do not confer any privilege or advantage to the holder.
He said even abroad, Nigerian graduates are subjected to further certification.
