It is no longer news that Kogi State has been a good Laboratory for studies and analysis of poverty, violence, oppression and all forms of human degradations under the current government of Yahaya Bello.

The conversion of the state leadership and governance to patrimonial affairs is not only abominable, but a democratic taboo to any civilised Society. Indeed, peace and tranquility have been illusive in our confluence state.

Conflicts and drums of war rages and have shatters lives and dismembered our people and communities.

As expected, protection of lives and properties is the fundamental and direct principles of state policies. Peace has always been among humanity’s highest value. It is supreme and organic. The most disadvantageous peace is better than a just war. But under Yahaya Bello, the state has been engulfed in poverty.  And poverty incubates criminality which is expressed in violence, kidnapping, cultism, armed-robbery and drug abuse which abound in the state. All these are departure from the dreams of our founding fathers of the state whose transcendental belief was to have a state where the people will live in tranquility and enjoy the trappings of even development unhindered.

Yahaya Bello and his anointed candidate, Ododo, have succeeded in fanning the embers of poverty.

There is hope on the horizon as the ever bubbling, confident, intelligent, articulate and multifaceted person of the SDP’s Honourable Murtala Ajaka who is well respected by the citizens of his native ward and beyond, will return Kogi to its path of prosperity.

The Amazon of handsomeness, the person of honourable  Murtala Ajaka will eliminate rural and urban poverty in the state. That is going to be one of the premium directions of his administration through wealth creation.

His administration will bringing more women and youths into decision- making processes. This would stimulate gender mainstreaming  and eliminate embers that have fanned  inequality  and  leadership of patrimony in our confluence state.
