Reno Omokri, a strong supporter of the Atiku Abubakar presidential ambition, has praised President Bola Tinubu for achieving the immediate repeal of the earlier visa ban imposed on passengers from Nigeria.
PoliticsNow reports that in a meeting on Monday, Tinubu and Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, president of the United Arab Emirates, decided to end the visa crisis.
According to a statement from Ajuri Ngelale, the president’s special adviser on media and publicity, this historic agreement requires both Etihad Airlines and Emirates Airlines to restart their flight schedules into and out of Nigeria immediately and without further delay.
Former presidential spokesperson Reno responded by applauding the leader and warning that “if President Tinubu derails, we will torment him.”
Reno encouraged President Tinubu to also seek to end the visa ban imposed on Nigerians by the Ethiopian and Seychelles authorities in a post on his Facebook page.
“It is very commendable that President Tinubu has been able to get the visa ban the UAE placed on Nigeria’s passport lifted. This is the type of leadership that Waziri Atiku Abubakar would also have brought to Nigeria and which has been missing for the last eight years,” Omokri wrote.
“Now that he has accomplished this, I urge the President to send his foreign minister to Ethiopia and Seychelles to secure the lifting of their own visa bans on the Nigerian passport.
“Once again, I commend the President and also salute the astute trade deals he was able to strike for Nigeria in both India and the UAE. Trade means jobs. And Nigerians need jobs. So much kudos is due to the president.”
