The Secret Service has suspended two uniformed officers who were reportedly caught on camera fighting each other outside former President Barack Obama’s Washington, D.C. home.
During the altercation, one officer allegedly grabbed her radio and said, “I need a supervisor out here… immediately before I whoop this girl’s ass.”
The footage and audio were first shared online by journalist Susan Crabtree, who stated that the incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. on May 21, approximately two miles northwest of the White House.
A Secret Service spokesperson confirmed the incident and said both officers were suspended pending an internal investigation.
“The individuals involved were suspended from duty and this matter is the subject of an internal investigation. The Secret Service has a very strict code of conduct for all employees, and any behavior that violates that code is unacceptable.”
This incident follows a string of recent controversies within the Secret Service. In one earlier case, an agent assigned to then-Vice President Kamala Harris was accused of attacking a supervisor in April 2024 after being relieved of duty. Reports stated the supervisor allegedly threw sanitary pads and screamed at coworkers, leading to the confrontation.
