Former Kaduna Senator, Shehu Sani, on Saturday said that Tinubu’s move to sign an MOU with the United Nations on counter-terrorism is a significant step to ending the insecurity currently bedeviling the country.
Commending the move by the President Bola Tinubu-led government, Mr Sani said that the MOU was a significant step in the country’s war against insecurity.
Mr. Sani said that the development will give Nigeria the support, expertise, and logistics needed to tackle insecurity.
“The signing of the MOU between Nigeria and the UN on counter terrorism is a significant step in the country’s war against terrorism. This is an important step taken that will avail Nigeria of the support, expertise & logistics needed in tackling our security challenges,” Mr Sani in a tweet said.
His remarks came as the nation struggles to deal with egregious security issues nationwide. While abduction and banditry have become fashionable in the north, the proscribed indigenous People of Biafra’s actions continue to have a negative impact on the South East region’s economy.
