Tinubu’s lawyer, Ogala, boasts Nigeria’s Supreme Court won’t accept Chicago State University record from Atiku
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s personal lawyer, Babatunde Ogala, has boasted that his principal’s record in Chicago State University which a U.S. Court ordered it to be released, won’t be used in the ongoing presidential election dispute at the Supreme Court.
According to Ogala, in a post on X which was shared by Bayo Onanuga, a former campaign spokesman for Tinubu, the Saturday ruling of the U.S. District Court ordering Chicago State University to hand over all non-privileged records of Tinubu to his political opponent, Atiku Abubakar, was an exercise in futility, because according to him, the documents can no longer be used in the case.
He said: “The headless mob is masturbating over nothing. The documents can no longer be used. It is of no value. We have passed that stage.”
In the Saturday ruling, Justice Nancy Maldonado warned Tinubu against approaching her court to seek a stay of execution of the ruling.
Atiku, had, in his response to Tinubu’s objection for the release of his documents, said it would support him in his case against the President at the Supreme Court.
