Tinubu storm Borno promises to revive economy.
The Presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has promised to resuscitate the economy of Borno state that has been devastated by the insurgency and the entire country if elected in next week’s presidential and national assembly elections.
Asiwaju Tinubu made the promise during the APC Presidential campaign rally in Maiduguri, the Borno state capital.
He assured that his administration will address the concerns of displaced persons, orphans and other victims of Boko Haram crisis.
“Today we are promising you, the people of Borno who have faced difficulties, you have faced challenges that is over now. You have suffered deprivation, how have suffered homelessness, some people create orphans we will take care of all of you” Tinubu said.
The Presidential candidate also promised to run his administration based on honesty and accountability if elected.
He thanked the people of Borno for coming out in their numbers to accord him and his campaign team a rousing welcome.
The Vice Presidential candidate Senator Kashim Shettima assured that Tinubu’s administration if elected would resume oil exploration in the Lake Chad.
Borno state Governor Babagana Zulum and former Governors of the state Maina Ma’aji Lawan and Senator Ali Modu Sheriff called on people of the state to vote for the party at all levels.
The National Chairman of the party, Senator Abdullahi Adamu later presented APC flag to Governor Babagana Zulum and also recieved decampees from other political parties including the Deputy gubernatorial candidate of New Nigeria Peoples Party.
Asiwaju Tinubu and his running mate Kashim Shettima and other members of the campaign team paid homage to the Shehu of Borno Alhaji Abubakar Garbai Elkanemi where the royal father requested for construction of some major highways and resumption of oil exploration in Lake Chad if given the mandate.
