Former Presidential spokesperson Reno Omokri has advised President Bola Tinubu to drive out DStv and MTN with killer taxes.
Omokri in a tweet on Tuesday evening advised Tinubu to replace the South Africa owned businesses with indigenous competitors.
“My Take On How President Tinubu Can Jumpstart the Economy. If I were President Tinubu, I would introduce some heavy killer taxes that will drive MTN, DSTV, and Shoprite out of Nigeria to be replaced by Nigerian-owned businesses,” Omokri tweeted.
“Someone like Peter Obi can take over from Shoprite with his Next. Otunba Mike Adenuga can be supported to buy MTN Nigeria’s assets. And why must we watch DSTV? Let us watch Arise. Channels, etc,” Omorki added.
The former presidential spokesperson further suggested that Air Peace be made the country’s national courier. Recall that Mr Buhari had during his administration clamoured for an increase in the patronage for made in Nigeria products. However Nigerians have continued to express worries of over the quality of made in Nigeria products.
