Aminu Maida replaces Danbatta as the new Executive Vice Chairman/CEO of the NCC
President Bola Tinubu has undertaken a significant restructuring within key government agencies, resulting in the removal of several top executives. This sweeping change impacted the leadership of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), the Nigeria Postal Service (NIPOST), and the Nigeria Communication Satellite Limited (NigComSat).
Announcing the new appointments, Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity), disclosed that while Aminu Maida has been appointed as the new Executive Vice Chairman/CEO of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), succeeding Prof Umar Danbatta, Nkechi Egerton-Idehen is now the Managing Director/CEO of Nigeria Communication Satellite Limited (NigComSat), taking over from Tukur Mohammed Lawal Funtua.
Also, Tola Odeyemi was designated as the Postmaster General/CEO of the Nigeria Postal Service (NIPOST), replacing Sunday Adepoju.
The changes comes as President Bola Tinubu continues to rid his administration of officials appointed by the immediate past government.
