Tinubu Presidency: FAAN hands over man to DSS for protesting on plane
The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) have handed over to the police and the Department of State Services (DSS) an unruly traveller who was evacuated from an Ibom Air plane on Friday, protesting the May 29 inauguration of the president-elect.
The yet-to-be-named man was one of the passengers on the Abuja-Lagos flight.
The management of the airline confirmed yesterday that the flight crew deemed his continuous unruly behaviour unsafe and had to invite airport security to help with the situation.
He was heard in a video that has now gone viral as he was being dragged off the plane by security officials shouting: “Obidients (the sobriquet for supporters of Peter Obi, the candidate of Labour Party in the February 25 presidential election) you’re here. They are doing this to me. Obidients you’re here, I am naked. Obidients you’re here, I am going naked.”
The man was said to have gone into an argument with some co-passengers on the February 25 presidential election.
He soon began to raise his voice and later started shouting that the May 29 inauguration of the President-elect must not be allowed.
The airline called airport security which took the man off the plane.
