The Technocrats

Ali Pate, a physician and Professor of the Practice of Public Health Leadership in the Department of Global Health and Population at Harvard University. He might likely get the portfolio of Health Minister.

Olawale Edun, a seasoned financial expert with extensive experience in the banking sector. He is expected to be appointed Finance Minister

Lateef Fagbemi, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and a consummate law professional may take the role of Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation.

The Women

Beta Edu is the APC women leader. There is a strong chance that she would play the role of Women Affairs Minister in the government.

Hannatu Musawa is already playing the role of Special Adviser, Culture and Entertainment Economy to Tinubu. She might take up the role in the cabinet.

Nkiru Onyejeocha has been a ranking lawmaker who has headed several committees, including Aviation. It is not clear where Tinubu may place her.

Stella Okotete was appointed by the Buhari administration as Executive Director (Business Development) at the Nigeria Export-Import (NEXIM) Bank amid protest that she lacked the requisite banking experience to fill the post. The law requires the occupant of the office to have not less than 13 years working experience in the banking sector. She doesn’t have it. She, however, served out her term at NEXIM bank. It is not also clear where Tinubu will place her.

Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye was the only woman aspirant of the APC in the last primary of the party. She, however, withdrew on the day of the election to support Tinubu.  It is also not clear where she will fit.

Iman Sulaiman Ibrahim was the former director general of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP).  After about five months in office, she was redeployed to another agency because her appointment violated the law of the agency which requires only persons from the directorate cadre in the civil service or from an equivalent cadre to fill the post.

Doris Uzoka is the Imo State commissioner for finance and coordinating economy. It is also not clear what appointment she will land.

The Politicians

Umahi, Wike, Bagudu and El-Rufai lead the pack of the top political heavy weights on the list.

Other top politicians include the current APC Acting National Chairman, Abubakar Kyari, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, a veteran lawmaker from Ondo State, Waheed Adebayo Adelabu, a former governorship candidate from Oyo State and John Enoh, a governorship aspirant from Cross River State.
