Adams Oshiomhole, a senator from Edo North, claims that President Bola Tinubu’s administration inherited a dire economic situation from its predecessor.
This was said by Oshiomhole on Tuesday during a press conference shortly after a private meeting with Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The previous National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), which is currently in power, claims that some of the administration’s recent measures are the first step towards revitalising the economy.
He added that President Tinubu and his deputy had shown courage and determination to stop the corruption of the subsidy regime and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), while appealing to Nigerians to be patient.
His comment comes as Nigerians continue to suffer hardship occasioned by the economic decisions taken by the President Bola Tinubu-led government.
Recall that the pump price of fuel has continued to rise under the Mr Tinubu-led government going up from N189/litre to about N617.
