President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will tomorrow fly to Senegal for the inauguration of Bassirou Faye as new president of the West African country.
Faye, 44, defeated candidate of the ruling party in a close contest.
A statement by Bayo Onanuga, the president’s special adviser on communication, said Tinubu will depart Abuja tomorrow for the inauguration of the new president in Dakar, the capital of Senegal.
The statement reads: “President Bola Tinubu will depart Abuja on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, for Dakar, Senegal, to attend the inauguration of Senegal’s President-elect, Bassirou Diomaye Faye.
“The inauguration of the 44 year-old president will take place at the Diamniadio Exhibition Centre.
“President Tinubu, who is the Chairman of ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, will join other regional leaders to witness the inauguration.”
