President Bola Tinubu, on Thursday, in Abuja, met with governors of the thirty-six states and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FTC), Nyesom Wike, at the Council Chambers of the State House, Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Also at the meeting, was Vice President Kashim Shettima and Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.
While the agenda of the meeting has not been officially disclosed, PoliticsNow however, gathered that it may not be unconnected to the rising cost of food items, insecurity and the current economic hardship in the country.
President Tinubu had earlier approved the release of about 102,000 metric tonnes of assorted items including rice, maize and millet, among others from the national reserve.
Governors at the meeting included those of Ekiti, Delta, Borno, Lagos, Kwara, Nasarawa, Edo, Yobe, Anambra, Akwa Ibom, Abia, Plateau, Kaduna, Sokoto, Niger, Taraba, Adamawa, Cross River, Ogun and Enugu States.
