Security Agencies have been directed by President Bola Tinubu to rescue the remaining female students of the Federal University Gusau, Zamfara State, that are still in custody of their abductors.
The President condemned the abhorrent act of kidnapping and said that there is no moral basis for such a horrible conduct against innocent victims whose only “offence” was to pursue a high standard of education.
The president further promised the families of the kidnapped students that nothing will be spared to ensure their safe return as part of his reaffirmation that his administration has a sacred duty to protect every Nigerian citizen.
Mr Tinubu further vowed that the Federal Government is determined to ensure that educational institutions remain sanctuaries of knowledge, growth, and opportunity, and totally free from the menacing acts of terrorists.
