Nigeria’s President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has conferred national honours on all members of the Super Eagles squad that won the silver medal at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d’Ivoire.
Tinubu also granted a plot of land in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and a flat to each of them for their feat at the just concluded competition.
The Super Eagles qualified for their first AFCON final in 11 years but lost for the fifth time in eight final appearances to the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire.
Team captain, Willam Troost-Ekong was also named the player of the tournament following Sunday’s final game at the Olympics Stadium in Ebimpe, Abidjan.
