Ahead of the 2027 election which is less than two and half years away, President Bola Tinubu and former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar have begun to solidify their political bases. The two gladiators and other dignitaries attended the wedding of the daughter of Senator Danjuma Goje on Friday in Abuja.
The wedding between Fauziyya Danjuma Goje and Aliyu Ahmed Abubakar was held at the National Mosque, Abuja, after Juma’at prayer.
Other personalities present included the Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin, Former national chairman of the APC, Senator Abdullahi Adamu and Gombe State Governor, Inuwa Yahaya, and the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, among others.
Top politicians from across the country graced the occasion, cutting across major political parties, including governors, senators, ministers, business tycoons, and traditional and religious leaders.
Also in attendance were Yobe state governor, Mai Mala Buni, Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State, former Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido, former Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasiru El-Rufai and former Borno State Governor, Ali Modu Sheriff.
Presidential aides, including the Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila and National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, were in attendance.
Senator Goje, a former governor of Gombe State, who has been in the upper chamber of the National Assembly since 2011, was seen with Tinubu during the ceremony.
He is a founding member of the All Progressives Congress.
