Nigeria’s Super Falcons have crashed out of the FIFA women’s world cup after losing 4-2 in penalty shootout.
After holding the lioness of England to a goaless draw at 90 minutes and extra time, the Nigerian female national team failed to find the back of the net on two occasions, England however found the back of the net on four occasions advancing to the next round of the tournament.
Nigeria becomes the second of the three African nations to crash out of the prestigious female football tournament.
Recall that South Africa on Sunday crashed out of the tournament after a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Netherlands.
However, Morocco will take on France on Wednesday to keep the continent hopes of winning it’s first world cup trophy alive.
