The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) has urged President Bola Tinubu to declare a state of emergency on the local government administration to stop the overbearing posture of state governors and reduce poverty at the third level of government.
The union made this call at its National Executive Council meeting held in Abuja on Thursday, as per reporting by Nigerian Television Authority.
The group further called for the need to revive the infrastructure decay in the third tier of government.
