Former Kaduna Senator, Shehu Sani, has called on President Bola Tinubu administration to set up a four man panel to reach out to warring communities in Plateau and Benue state.
Giving this advice in a tweet on Wednesday, the former Kaduna lawmaker asked President Tinubu to draft renowned clergyman, Bishop Matthew Kukah, Professor Usman Yusuf and two security chiefs into the four man panel with the aim of reaching out to the states and the affected communities to facilitate peace.
“Plateau & Benue Killings; The Government should set up a four man Committee made up of Bishop Kukah,Prof Usman Yusuf & two security chiefs who will reach out to the states & directly to the affected communities & facilitate peace between the waring ethnic groups & communities,” tweet by Mr Sani read.
Recall that President Tinubu on Tuesday unequivocally condemned the killing of citizens in Benue and Plateau communities.
The President, while lamenting the tragic development, tasked security agencies to fish out those responsible for the attack.
