A Chief Superintendent of the Nigeria Customs Service, Abdullahi Abdulwahab Magaji, has tragically taken his life with a gun, a month after a deputy commissioner of police serving with the FCID in Lagos killed himself by hanging with a noose.
According to reports, Magaji, who served at the Customs headquarters in Abuja, reportedly shot himself with a pump-action gun at his residence in Kano a few days ago. The motive behind his action remains unclear.
The Kano State Police Public Relations Officer, Haruna Abdullahi Kiyawa, confirmed the incident and stated that a full-scale investigation had been initiated.
Magaji’s death via a noose comes a month after Oyedemi, a senior police officer and former security aide to the late former Governor of the state, Adebayo Alao-Akala, killed himself with a gun.
