Nollywood actors including Tonto Dikeh and Iyabo Ojo, as well as Senator Elisha Abbo, have paid a visit to late singer Mohbad’s family.
Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba, better known by his stage name Mohbad, passed away last week, but questions have been raised about how he was buried.
On Thursday, Senator Abbo and the Nollywood celebrities paid a visit to Mohbad’s family in the Lekki neighbourhood of Lagos State to express their condolences while Nigerians continue to intensify the call for justice for the late rapper.
Mohbad’s mother was assured by Senator Abbo that she would be protected and that the circumstances surrounding her son’s death would be looked into.
The senator, who chairs the Senate Committee on the Entertainment Economy, vowed to lead the effort to establish a Creative Economy Commission.
The visit comes just as the Nigerian Police force exhume the body of the late singer for autopsy.
Spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command Benjamin Hundeyin on Thursday detailed that the remains of the singer had been exhumed for autopsy.
