Paris Saint-Germain have announced the signing of 18-year-old Brazilian midfielder, Gabriel Moscardo, from Corinthians in a deal that runs until 2028. The talented teenager expressed his delight at joining one of Europe’s top clubs, calling it “one of the best days of my life.”
Moscardo has already made 25 senior appearances for Corinthians and will remain with the Brazilian club on loan until the end of the 2024 season. This allows the youngster to continue his development in familiar surroundings before making the move to France.
Moscardo underwent surgery on a left foot injury earlier this month which delayed finalising the transfer. The Parisians have built a reputation for blooding young talents like Moscardo in recent years.
Their project under Qatari ownership blends elite players in their prime with the next generation. Moscardo said he looks forward to “meeting the team and the coaching staff” and hopes to add to PSG’s burgeoning trophy haul.
At just 18 years of age, Moscardo’s capture by one of Europe’s super clubs represents a major opportunity. PSG will be patient however, focused on carefully managing the midfielder’s adaptation to a new league and lifestyle. Corinthians can take pride in producing and polishing another glittering talent primed for stardom.
