President Tinubu presents APC flags to Sylva, other Candidates ahead of the November 11 governorship elections
In the lead-up to the upcoming gubernatorial elections in Bayelsa, Imo, and Kogi, President Bola Tinubu has formally presented the All Progressive Congress (APC) flags to the party’s candidates in the three states.
The president’s gesture symbolizes his robust backing for the APC’s gubernatorial contenders as they prepare for the forthcoming off-cycle elections.
Governor Hope Uzodinma, who is vying for re-election, received the party’s flag for the Imo State gubernatorial election, while Timipre Sylva was honored with the party’s emblem for the Bayelsa race. Usman Ododo, likewise, was entrusted with the APC flag for the Kogi election.
These developments come as the respective states gear up for the crucial gubernatorial polls scheduled for November 11.
At the polls, the APC will be vigorously working to maintain its hold on power in Imo and Kogi, while also seeking to expand its presence in the South-South region of the country, buoyed by the emergence of Timipre Sylva as the party’s standard-bearer in the Bayelsa election.
