Nigerian music star Habeeb Okikiola, better known by his stage name Portable, reportedly narrowly escaped an assassination attempt on Wednesday after capturing a man armed with a gun.
It was gathered that the incident took place at Ota in Ogun State, with Portable sharing his distress and relief in a video obtained by SaharaReporters.
In the video, Portable, who appears to be visibly shaken in the video, is seen shouting and appealing for public sympathy, stating, “They want to kill me!”
The video also captured the tense moment when a half-naked man, allegedly the assailant, was detained while holding a gun.
The motive behind the attack remains unclear.
