Senior Pastor of House on the Rock Church, Paul Adefarasin is currently being grilled by detectives at the Lagos State Police Command for pointing a gun-looking object at a road user.
A statement posted on the police X handle also indicated that the pastor rode in an unregistered vehicle when he pointed the object at the road user.
The statement reads: “Pastor Paul Adefarasin has turned himself in at the Lagos State Police Command Headquarters, Ikeja and is currently being interrogated by detectives who have commenced investigation on the case since a video surfaced online showing the pastor holding a gun-like object against another road user, while driving in an unregistered vehicle. The outcome of the investigation will be made public.”
Pastor Adefarasin was spotted in a now viral video pointing what looks like a gun at a content creator whom reports claim was known for documenting luxury cars in Lagos.
Adefarasin, seated in his car, rolled down the window and warned the creator to stop filming. The creator subsequently posted the video online, leading to speculation that Adefarasin had pointed a gun at him.
Adefarasin addressed the issue during his church service, clarifying that he does not own a firearm and does not carry one. He emphasized that the object in his hand was not a gun and that he did not point it at anyone. He also suggested that the incident is part of a broader attack on his person and ministry.
