Police exhume Mohbad’s corpse for autopsy as Nigerians await outcome 

 

Spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, has revealed that the corpse of deceased Nigerian singer, Illerioluwa Aloba, better known as Mohbad, has been exhumed as police are set to conduct autopsy on the remains of the singer.

The Announcement came on the hills of ongoing investigation by the police to unravel the possible cause of the singer’s death.

The police had earlier setup a 13 man panel to investigate the possible cause of the singer’s death. The panel was given two weeks to submit their preliminary findings to the state commissioner of police

PoliticsNow recalls that the police had vowed to go the extra mile to unravel the mysteries around the singer’s death, and bring thouse found culpable to book. The singer who died last week was hurriedly buried with many raising questions regarding the rush in his burial.

However, the police said it would exhume the corpse of the singer if the need be to conduct autopsy as it continues to work to unravel the cause of the singer’s death.

To further broaden the investigation, the governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu led government invited the Department of States Services to join the investigation.

However despite calls for autopsy, Nigerians have also continued to call for the arrest and prosecution of Mohbad’s former label boss Naira Marley and his associate Sam Larry.

Naira Marley and Sam Larry are being accused of intimidating and bullying the singer who left the Marlian music label after he fell out with his former label boss.

Naira Marley and his associate are believed to have fled the country as calls for their arrest continued to mount.
