The Police in Delta have declared wanted a man accused of stealing a Mercedes Benz Car under the pretext of test-driving it before purchase.
The car was stolen in Abuja from a car dealer stand, but recovered in Delta State after the alleged thief abandoned it over fears he could be arrested.
According to the Delta State Police Spokesman, DSP Bright Edafe via a short statement posted on Twitter, the suspect’s name is Meshak Suinuohrho.
Edafe said the man specializes in stealing vehicles while pretending to be an intending buyer. “This Benz stolen from a car stand at Abuja has been recovered in Delta. The suspect, one Meshak Suinuohro, is still at large. He specializes in stealing vehicles while pretending to be an intending buyer. Anyone with useful information as to his whereabouts should please contact the Police,” he said.
Edafe’s Twitter post has elicited mixed reactions from Nigerians.
