The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a school teacher, Stella Nwadigo of Christ-Mitots School in Ikorodu following a viral video showing her repeatedly hitting a three-year-old for failing to write some figures correctly.
The teacher was caught on camera hitting the boy in the face for being slow in writing some dictated figures.
Hours after the video went viral, Lagos police spokesman Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the arrest of the teacher via his X handle while responding to a post.
He posted: “She is currently in our custody for further necessary actions.”
The incident which occured on Wednesday, has sparked reactions on social media.
