PEPC judgement on Appeal Court website has no watermark – Onanuga replies PDP, Labour Party

The Director, Media and Publicity of the defunct Tinubu-Shettima Campaign Organisation, Bayo Onanuga, has responded to worries raised by the Peoples Democratic and Labour Party over the Certified True Copy of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal that was seen with an imprint of the Tinubu Presidential Legal Team.

Mr Onanuga who was responding to a report that indicated that the Appeal Court had uploaded the PEPT verdict on its official website said that the CTC on the website has no watermark.

“Court of Appeal uploads PEPC judgment on its website. It bears no watermark, no imprint, no imprimatur of anyone,” Mr Onanuga wrote.

“Hoping the court’s traducers will end all the cacophony and insinuations over the document and allow the justices enjoy their peace,” he added.

PoliticsNow had earlier reported that the Labour Party and the Peoples Democratic Party challenged the PEPT to explain why a CTC it released bore the name of the ruling All Progressives Congress Tinubu Presidential Legal Team.

The parties claimed that the CTC issued to them did not have an imprint with their names like the one issued to the ruling party.

However, to water down controversies, the Appeal Court uploaded the ruling on its official website.
