PDP wins Taraba State governorship poll
The Independent National Electoral Commission on Tuesday morning declared Col. Kefas Agbu (rtd.) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as the winner of the Taraba State governorship election held on Saturday March 18th, 2023.
Prof. Muhammad Ahmed Abdul’aziz, who is the returning officer and Vice Chancellor of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi, announced the result at the INEC collation center in Jalingo.
He said that Kefas Agbu of the PDP scored the total of 257,926 to defeat his closest opponent, Professor Sani Yahaya of the NNPP who polled 202,277 while Senator Emmanuel Bwacha of the APC scored 142,502 and Danladi Baido of SDP got 28,374.
