PDP chieftain, Ben Bruce, begs Nigerians to accept Supreme Court’s Ruling
Ben Bruce, a former Bayelsa lawmaker and a prominent figure within the Peoples Democratic Party, has made an impassioned plea to all Nigerians to embrace the decision of the Supreme Court.
Mr. Bruce’s statement came in the aftermath of the Supreme Court’s verdict that upheld the election of President Bola Tinubu.
In his address, the former Senator implored Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi to put an end to the controversies surrounding the presidential election by acknowledging the verdict of the apex court.
“The judgment should be embraced by all Nigerians as it conclusively settles the issues of contention regarding the outcome of the Presidential election held on February 25, 2023. Therefore, I call upon the Peoples Democratic Party and its Presidential candidate, Waziri Atiku Abubakar, to acknowledge the judgment and bring an end to this ongoing controversy,” Mr. Bruce’s tweet expressed.
In his tweet, Mr. Bruce also extended congratulations to President Tinubu on his victory and encouraged the President to concentrate on the nation’s economic development.
He attributed the Peoples Democratic Party’s defeat to disunity during the elections, advising the party to draw lessons from its performance in the 2023 general election.
