Opinion: How Murtala Ajaka’s imminent victory rattles Yahaya Bello into booking all hotel rooms in Kogi

He who tears the garment of honour wears the mask of disgrace. The booking of all hotels in the confluence state on the order of Yahaya Bello is a failed political approach to winning election as elections are not conducted in a room but in the Field.

The action is not only reckless spending  but a political premonition to early warning signal of defeat  in the forthcoming  off- season election in the state.

Hon. Murtala Ajaka is still standing tall aiming higher to the sky among other contestants. Yahaya Bello should understand abundantly clear that governance is an architecture that is committed to creating a system founded in justice and peace that protects individual, human rights and civil liberties.

Bello, s inability to apply political, economic and administrative authority to manage the state affairs conspired against his anointed candidate. His failure also to open governance and fiscal regime for state daily activities contributed in no small measure to the incoming defeats facing his ill-fated candidate.

Yahaya Bello succeeded in thwarting public Financial management approach for not improving the capacity and Independence of the Auditor General and Accountant General of the state and local government.

Deplorably, the rising profile of poverty in kogi state has assumed a worrisome dimension. The phenomenon has been massive, pervasive, omnipresent and engulfed a large proportions. The alarming dimensions of poverty in the state is an incontrovertible facts of loss of  values, focus and insensitivity of the current administration which result in hunger, ignorance, disease, unemployment, poor access to credit facilities, malnutrition and low life expectancy and general level of human hopelessness.

Today, my brothers and sisters, under Yahaya Bello government, stories abound of stolen foods cooked by another households. This is a sad reminder to our cultural sensibilities comes November 11.

The government made people vulnerable to whims and caprices to most villainous politicians and gladiators with inordinate ambition to Short change them.

The state resources has been shared by microcosm few. Hon. Murtala Ajaka is set on the stage to address the ugly trend.
