At the State House, President Bola Tinubu is currently engaged in a meeting with Alhaji Asari Dokubo, a prominent Niger Delta leader and former leader agitator in the oil-rich region.
While the specific agenda of the meeting remains undisclosed, it is widely speculated that Dokubo’s presence indicates his potential involvement in the President’s ongoing consultations with opinion leaders from the Niger Delta area.
President Bola Tinubu has recently reaffirmed his commitment to combatting crude oil theft in Nigeria and has been actively engaging with key figures from the region. These engagements include meetings with Chief Timi Alaibe, the former Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), as well as Dr. Dakuku Peterside, the former Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).
